Mazur Lab @ Henley Hall

Welcome

Welcome — I'm glad you found your way here. This is the home of the Mazur group in the Department of Materials at UC Santa Barbara, where a small team of us work on one of the most exciting questions in modern physics: how to build quantum devices that might, one day, change how we compute.

We spend our days designing, fabricating, and measuring hybrid structures where superconductors meet semiconductors — patient, hands-on work that sits somewhere between physics, materials science, and engineering. We care deeply about the craft of making things well, and about the long horizon: the belief that quantum technology will ultimately scale the way classical technology did, through the semiconductor industry that built the modern world.

Whether you're a student curious about what we do, a fellow researcher, a collaborator, or simply someone who stumbled in from elsewhere, thank you for stopping by. I hope you find something interesting. If you'd like to get in touch, you can reach me at gmazur@ucsb.edu.
