Songgun joined the group in May 2026 as an undergraduate researcher. He is trained to wire-bond, machine metal parts, and assemble/disassemble/sample exchange on the dilution fridge. Previously he has characterised the lab's noise environment, designed copper sample platforms and cryostat loaders, and given several presentations for the group. For the fall quarter he is bringing our Ge Hall-bar measurements up end to end. He wire bonds the device, mounts it on hardware he designed, and writes the instrument control that gets the fridge, the QSM and the lock-in amplifiers talking to one another. He is expected to complete his BS in Physics at UCSB in 2027.
